System Administrator, Perioperative Services
Jennifer Harris is system administrator of Perioperative Services at Memorial Health System. In this role, she ensures that high-quality, safe, efficient, equitable and fiscally responsible surgical care is provided to the more than 20,000 patients MHS serves each year.
Harris earned a bachelor of science degree in environmental health in 2000 and a master of science degree in environmental health and safety in 2003, both from Illinois State University. In 2001, she became safety officer at Memorial Medical Center, responsible for the organization’s patient and environmental safety programs and process improvement initiatives. In 2004 she took on additional responsibilities as director of operations and quality at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, where she served until joining the health system executive team in 2013.
Harris is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. In 2017, she was named a “Forty Under Forty” recipient by the Springfield Business Journal and an Illinois State University College of Applied Science & Technology Academy of Achievement inductee.
