TEN Camp
Memorial is currently accepting applications for the Teens Experiencing Nursing (T.E.N.) summer camp. The application deadline is April 5, 2013.
T.E.N. Camp, to be held July 15-18, gives area high school students the opportunity to personally experience nursing education and nursing practice, and encourages them to pursue a rewarding and essential career.
The four – day camp begins with orientation and an overview of the nursing profession. Participants will visit our Clinical Simulation Center and our Surgical Skills Lab where students will learn and practice basic nursing skills. Participants will also have the opportunity to job shadow on several of our nursing units and interact with nursing staff.
The camp is looking for qualified and motivated participants. Potential participants should complete the application and include an essay explaining why they would like to become nurses. A school counselor needs to complete a reference form. Written permission from a parent or guardian is required. The forms are available below as links. The application deadline is April 5. You’re going to love this experience! If you need further information, call the People Division at (217) 788-3580.
